Bhubaneswar, Aug 22: Scanty rainfall in June, more in July and so-far deficit in August. This has been the rain report-card in Odisha so far, in 2023. But there are indications that the amount of rainfall in August is likely to increase.
At least, that is what the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) forecast on Tuesday revealed. Till Friday (August 25), several districts of the state are likely to receive medium to heavy rainfall, IMD regional centre sources informed.
Rainfall in some places would be accompanied by lightning, thunder strikes and gusty winds, the IMD predicted.
