Bhubaneswar, May 9: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning on Thursday for a Nor'wester triggered thunderstorm in five districts of Odisha. These districts include Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Kandhamal.
As a result of this weather phenomenon, daytime temperatures across most parts of the state are expected to decrease by four to six degrees Celsius.
The IMD has advised residents to remain vigilant and monitor the weather closely for any deteriorating conditions. They are also urged to be prepared to relocate to safer locations to avoid potential lightning strikes.
The Nor'wester rains, coming after a prolonged heat wave, have brought much-needed relief from the scorching temperatures, offering respite to the residents of Odisha.
