Dubai, Mar 5: Lara Dutta Bhupathi shared an emotional update on Wednesday, revealing that she is currently in Dubai with her daughter, Saira, as the Iran-Israel conflict continues to escalate in the Middle East. In an Instagram video, the actress described the past few days as stressful, noting the presence of fighter jets flying overhead and loud explosions.

Despite the unsettling environment, Lara reassured her followers, saying, "Though we live in a villa in a very safe neighbourhood, the windows shake, the house and the doors rattle, and it's unnerving. But I haven’t felt unsafe, not even once."

The actress also expressed her appreciation for the UAE government’s efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. She said, "I just want to say that the UAE government has done an incredible job. I think, for every single person — I won’t speak for anybody else — we felt really looked after. We felt wanted, we felt protected, regardless of our nationality or where we're from. We feel like we count, we matter. The UAE government, as somebody living in this city, is making sure they do everything in their power to protect us and keep us safe."

Lara’s heartfelt message comes amid growing concerns over the ongoing conflict in the region. The US and Israeli strikes have resulted in the deaths of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and several senior military officials, causing widespread explosions in Tehran and other major Iranian cities. In retaliation, Iran launched ballistic missiles and drones targeting US and allied assets across the Middle East, including in Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan. This has only intensified the situation, further heightening risks for both civilians and expatriates in the region.

Lara's message highlights the importance of safety and solidarity during these difficult times, showing gratitude for the UAE’s efforts to protect and support its residents amidst growing tensions.
