IGNOU extends July 2025 admission deadline to September 15

IGNOU July 2025 Admission Deadline Extended

Bhubaneswar, Sept 1: In response to the diverse needs of students, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the admission and re-registration deadlines for the July 2025 academic session to September 15, 2025. However, students opting for re-registration after this extended deadline will be required to pay an additional late fee of ₹200.

Prospective students interested in enrolling in various courses can apply online through the official IGNOU website at www.ignou.ac.in.

Special concession has been provided for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students enrolling in undergraduate programs such as BSCM, BCOMF, and BAM, with a 50% waiver on both admission and re-registration fees. However, students who receive similar fee waivers from other sources will not be eligible for this IGNOU concession.

This year, IGNOU has introduced several new M.Sc. programs including Zoology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Geoinformatics, Physics, Applied Statistics, Geography (MSCGG), along with AICTE-approved MBA and MCA courses. Detailed prospectuses for all courses can be downloaded directly from the IGNOU website.

Under the new education policy, students may now pursue dual degrees in two subjects, with comprehensive details available online.
