Phulbani, Jan 2: In a tragic accident on Friday morning, one youth was killed, and two others, including a girl, sustained critical injuries following a bike crash in Kandhamal district. The incident occurred near a bridge in the Tikabali area.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.

According to reports, three individuals were traveling on a bike from Burbinaju to Tikabali when the rider lost control of the vehicle. The bike crashed into a roadside tree, resulting in the immediate death of one person, while the other two were seriously injured.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the fire services department quickly responded to the scene. They recovered the body of the deceased and transported it to Tikabali Hospital for an autopsy. Meanwhile, the injured victims were rushed to Phulbani Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
