Hollywood mourns as legendary Godfather star Robert Duvall passes away

The world of cinema has lost one of its brightest stars as legendary actor Robert Duvall dies at the age of 95. The Oscar-winning actor breathed his last at his home, surrounded by his family and close friends. His wife, Luciana, shared the heartbreaking news through a moving social media post, describing him as a cherished friend and one of the greatest performers of our era.

Luciana expressed that while the world knew him as a brilliant Academy Award winner and storyteller, he was "simply everything" to her. She noted that his immense passion for acting was only matched by his love for life, good food, and deep conversations. Throughout his long career, Duvall was known for pouring his heart into every character, seeking the truth of the human spirit in every role he played.

Born in 1931 in San Diego, California, Robert Duvall grew up in a military family. His father was a high-ranking rear admiral in the U.S. Navy. Although he served in the Army during the Korean War, Duvall decided not to follow his father’s naval footsteps. Instead, he pursued a degree in drama and moved to New York to master his craft. During his early years in the city, he studied alongside other future legends like Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman.

This Hollywood legend passes away leaving a career that started with a bang. His big-screen debut came in the classic To Kill a Mockingbird, where he played the mysterious Boo Radley. From there, he went on to star in some of the most influential films in history, including The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. His dedication to the "truth of the human spirit" made him a household name and a respected figure for generations of moviegoers in Odisha and across the globe.
