New Delhi, Nov 26: President Droupadi Murmu will lead the national observance of Constitution Day, 2025, on Wednesday in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan. The event will feature the digital release of the Constitution of India in nine Indian languages, an official announcement stated.

The nine languages in which the Constitution will be released include Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, and Assamese.

The event, which will begin at 11 a.m., will see the President lead parliamentarians in reaffirming their commitment to the values enshrined in the Constitution and the democratic traditions of the country.

Key dignitaries attending the event include Vice-President and Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishna, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers, and Members of Parliament from both Houses of Parliament, according to a statement from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

During the ceremony, the Speaker and Vice-President will address the gathering, followed by an address from the President. As part of the Constitution Day observance, a commemorative Hindi booklet on calligraphy from the Constitution, prepared by the Ministry of Culture, will also be released.

The President will lead the reading of the Preamble, a central highlight of the event.

Across India, Union Ministries, State Governments, local bodies, and other institutions will organize a variety of programs to mark the occasion. Citizens will have the opportunity to participate in the celebrations through online activities, including the reading of the Preamble on MyGov.in and Constitution75.com, generating participation certificates, and sharing on social media.

Additional activities include a national online quiz, blog and essay competitions on “Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhiman,” as well as conferences, seminars, debates, short films, exhibitions, cultural events, and artistic competitions like posters, paintings, and rangoli, all themed around the Constitution.

The celebrations aim to make Constitution Day, 2025, a national festival of constitutional values, uniting citizens across India and around the world, as stated in the announcement.
