Sambalpur, Mar 2: A bomb threat was received by the District and Sessions Court in Sambalpur on Monday, via email. In response, Sambalpur police quickly launched an operation, with the bomb disposal squad also dispatched to the court premises to conduct a thorough search and ensure no explosives had been planted.

At present, the identity of the person who issued the bomb threat remains unclear, and an investigation is underway to track down the responsible individual. This marks the third time that Sambalpur Court has received a bomb threat.

In recent months, several other courts across Odisha have similarly been targeted with bomb threats, all of which were later determined to be hoaxes. These recurring false alarms have raised concerns over the misuse of emergency services and the disruption of public services, as authorities continue to take swift action to maintain safety and order.
