H&UD Minister inaugurates Millennium City Market Complex, Sensorial Park in Kataka

Kataka, Sep 8:  Housing & Urban Development Minister and Chairman of the Kataka Development Authority (KDA), Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra today inaugurated the Millennium City Market Complex and Sensorial Park at Sector-9 here.

The market complex has been developed to provide improved and organised commercial infrastructure, while the Sensorial Park, developed as a science-based park, is designed to provide visitors with an interactive and engaging learning experience through scientific concepts.

The park aims to make science more accessible and enjoyable, particularly for children and young learners, by combining education, recreation and hands-on experiences in an open public space.

On the occasion, Minister Dr. Mahapatra also laid the foundation stone for the ‘Atal Park’ at Sector-13. The upcoming park is envisioned as another important addition to the city’s public recreational infrastructure and will provide residents with a modern green and community space.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahapatra said that the State Government has accorded top priority to the development of Kataka.

“Kataka is a city of history and heritage, and several developmental projects will be undertaken in the city soon. Our focus is to ensure planned urban development while improving civic amenities and creating better public spaces for citizens,” he said.

He emphasised that the development of modern infrastructure, recreational facilities and organised commercial spaces would contribute to improving the overall quality of life of citizens while complementing Kataka’s rich historical and cultural identity.

Mayor Subash Chandra Singh, MLA (Choudwar-Kataka) Souvic Biswal, KDA Vice-Chairperson Kirandeep Kaur Sahota, and senior officials of KDA were present on the occasion.
