Cuttack, July 17: House Surgeons’ mass stir after a faceoff with nursing staff has disrupted patients’ care in the SCB Medical College at Cuttack on Wednesday.
Critical patients’ are found languished in depair as the House Surgeons ceased work in the inpatients’ wards from the morning.
Sources said, at least 250 House Surgeons of the SCB Medical College and Hospital ceased their work from the morning based on their face-off with the Nursing staff of the hospital. They are attending patients in the casualty and emergency wards only resulting disrupted healthcare services here in the SCB.
Acting on it, the Superintendent of the MCH has urged the house surgeons to continue health services asserting a probe into the matter.
On the other hand, the nursing staff also held a protest before the Superintendent’s office, in order to initiate action against the errant house surgeons.
