Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Jujitsu Association is proud to announce that International medallist Anupama Swain, the talented athlete from Odisha, has brought glory to the state and the nation by winning a silver medal in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship held at Thailand.

In the finals, Anupama put up a spirited performance but was narrowly defeated by a Ukrainian player securing a commendable silver medal for India.

Competing in the women 52 kg contact fight category, Anupama showcased exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Her journey to the world stage began after she clinched the gold medal at the National Jiu-Jitsu Championship, earning her selection to represent India at this prestigious international event.

Speaking on her achievement, the Odisha Jujitsu Association extended heartfelt congratulations to Anupama for her outstanding performance and for bringing international recognition to Odisha’s growing martial arts community.
