Bhubaneswar, January 20: In a significant development, the Bhubaneswar Civil Court has on Tuesday granted renowned Odia Jatra actor Piyush Tripathy the go-ahead to perform at the prestigious Khandagiri Jatra. This court order brings relief to Tripathy, who has long been admired for his powerful stage performances.

The ruling clears the way for the actor to showcase his skills at one of Odisha's largest and most revered cultural festivals. Tripathy, currently associated with the Singhabihini Jatra troupe, has become a household name for his commanding presence and memorable performances. However, legal issues had previously cast uncertainty on his participation in the Khandagiri Jatra. After a legal battle, the Civil Court ruled in his favour, permitting him to perform at the event.

 The Khandagiri Jatra, celebrated annually at the foothills of Khandagiri, is one of Odisha’s most anticipated cultural gatherings, featuring leading artists from across the state. Tripathy’s presence is expected to elevate the festival's appeal this year.
