Keonjhar, March 3: A bomb threat email warning of an explosion at the Keonjhar District Court triggered a security alert on Tuesday. The email, sent from an unidentified ID, claimed that the court premises would be blown up.

Court authorities immediately informed the Town Police, prompting a comprehensive security check. Despite the court being closed for the Holi holiday, police and emergency response teams rushed to the spot.

Bomb disposal squad personnel, along with sniffer dogs, conducted an extensive search of the judge’s chambers, courtrooms, and staff offices. No suspicious objects have been reported so far.

The district police have launched an investigation to trace the source of the threatening email.
