Puri, Nov 25: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has honored Bollywood legend Dharmendra with a magnificent sand sculpture at Puri Beach in Odisha. The 5-foot-long sculpture, crafted using nearly six tonnes of sand, beautifully portrays Dharmendra’s iconic screen presence, serving as a tribute to his enduring legacy in Indian cinema.

Pattnaik, a Padma Shri awardee, described the late actor as "an emotion for millions" and reflected on his extraordinary career spanning six decades and over 300 films. The sand art also carries the message "RIP Dharmendra Ji, End of an Era," acknowledging the deep admiration and respect for the actor.

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Pattnaik wrote: "A heartfelt tribute to the evergreen legend Dharmendra Ji, truly the end of an era in Indian cinema."

The tribute has received widespread appreciation on social media, with fans and celebrities alike expressing their condolences and sharing cherished memories of the legendary actor.
