Bhubaneswar, March 31: In hit-and–run case in Odisha’s Capital city Bhubaneswar, a tea seller was reportedly dragged to death by a speeding car on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Dilip Parida, a native of Binjharpur under the Jajpur district.
Sources said Dilip was cleaning the area in front of his tea stall in the Saheed Nagar area in the capital city this morning. Meanwhile, a speeding car (OD 33AK 6888) ran over him where he was crushed to death on the spot.
On being informed, the police rushed to the spot, seized the body and sent it for autopsy.
A case has been registered in this connection and the police have launched a hunt to nab the driver, sources added.
