Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: Foggy conditions are likely to persist across Odisha till February 2, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said. Moderate fog may occur on Saturday in districts includingBalasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Khordha and Puri.

The IMD has also forecast agradual rise in night temperatures, leading to a reduction in cold conditions across most parts of the state till February 4.

Cold conditions are expected tolargely subside in coastal Odisha on Saturday. Minimum temperatures may hover around20°C in Puri, 19°C in Gopalpur, 18°C in Chandbali and Paradip, 17°C in Chhatrapur and Bhubaneswar, and 16°C in Khordha, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack and Nayagarh.Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpurmay record minimum temperatures of around15°C. The IMD has indicated thatnight temperatures are unlikely to fall below 15°C anywhere in the state.

OnSunday, a further rise in night temperatures is expected acrosscoastal, interior and northern Odisha, with minimum temperatures ranging between16°C and 18°Cin most areas.Purimay record a minimum of around20°C.

Meanwhile, in the interior districts, cooler conditions will prevail. On Monday (February 2), the minimum temperature is likely to be11°C in Phulbani,13°C in Nabarangpur, and14°C in Koraput and Malkangiri. Earlier, onThursday night, minimum temperatures of10.5°C in Phulbani, 11°C in Daringbadi, 12.5°C in Nabarangpur and 13°C in Nuapadawere recorded.
