Bhubaneswar, May 31: Intense heat wave conditions prevailed in most parts of Odisha on Friday with as many as three places in the state recording temperature above 40 degrees Celsius.
While Jharsuguda emerged as the hottest place recording a scorching 42.2 degree Celsius, it was followed by Sambalpur at 42.0 degree Celsius and Hirakud at 40.4 degree Celsius.
On the other hand, the Bhubaneswar witnessed 33.5 degree Celsius.
