Deogarh, June 20: A tragic incident was reported from Mahajanmunda village under Deogarh police limits on Friday evening, where a primary school headmistress lost her life after coming into contact with an electric current.

The deceased has been identified as Rosalin Jojo, Headmistress of Nagadihi Primary School. According to reports, she was installing a ceiling fan at her residence when she accidentally came in contact with a live electrical connection and suffered a severe electric shock.

Family members immediately rushed to her aid and shifted her in a critical condition to the District Headquarters Hospital in Deogarh for treatment. However, doctors at the hospital declared her dead on arrival.

Following the incident, Deogarh Police reached the hospital, seized the body, and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the electrocution.

The untimely death of the headmistress has cast a pall of gloom over the local community and the education fraternity. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident.
