Bargarh, April 22: Odisha Vigilance on Monday apprehended a high school headmaster in Odisha’s Bargarh district for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant.
The accused has been identified as Balamukunda Pradhan, Headmaster of Kushapuri High School in Odisha’s Bargarh district. Pradhan was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe amount of Rs 14,000 from a functionary of the local self-help group (SHG) to process a file for the release of payment in their favour towards cleaning and night watch duty at the school.
The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Pradhan from disproportionate assets (DA) angle.
