Sambalpur, Aug 26: With allegations like harassment being leveled against an assistant professor of the Political Science department of Sambalpur University, the reputation of one of the premier varsities is at stake.
A female assistant professor of the university had alleged that the assistant professor of the Political Science department Rajat Kujur had been harassing her.
The vice-chancellor has constituted a committee to probe the allegations and said necessary action would be taken after getting the report.
Worth mentioning, the Registrar of the university has suspended Dr Kujur on the charge of dereliction of duty on the advice of the Vice Chancellor.
He was suspended for indiscipline. He was regularly targeting university authorities over various issues. His activities were impacting the administration of the higher institution and thus he was suspended.
