Sundargarh/ Salepur, August 14: A grand Tiranga Yatra was organized in Bimlagarh under Bonai subdivision of Sundargarh district on Thursday as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

The yatra, organized by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, passed through various parts of Bimlagarh town. More than a hundred BJP workers, local residents and students participated in the programme.

Sundargarh BJP General Secretary Abhiram Mahakul, District Kisan Morcha President Anil Kumar Mahanta, District Secretary Jayanti Mahanta and Mandal President Hemp Oram were among those who took part in the procession. Senior party leaders said similar Tiranga Yatras would be organized in different parts of the Bonai subdivision in the coming days.

Meanwhile, a similar programme was held in the Salepur Assembly constituency of Cuttack district as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which is being observed across the country ahead of Independence Day on August 15.

Under the leadership of Cuttack District Rural BJP President Ramnarayan Mahanti, a large Tiranga foot march was taken out from Sapanpur. The procession passed through Salepur market before concluding with a street-corner meeting near Madhu Mandap.

The programme was coordinated by Cuttack District Rural BJP Vice-President Dr. Himanshu Mahanti. District in-charge Kishore Panda, Mandal President Asit Mahanti, BJP leaders Arindam Ray, Santosh Raut and Trilochan Patra, among others, participated in the event.

Mandal in-charges, Shakti Kendra heads and in-charges, party workers, women and thousands of local residents also joined the march. BJP leaders said the programme was aimed at honouring the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country and celebrating the spirit of Independence.
