Keonjhar, Jan 6: A tiger entered a cowshed in Bengali Sahi, Dongadiha village, under Champajhar Panchayat, where it killed four goats and one cow. The tiger consumed the livestock before leaving the area. The Forest Department officials have reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.

After confirming the presence of the tiger, forest authorities launched an awareness campaign in the affected areas. Loudspeakers were used to alert villagers, advising them to stay away from the forest and keep their domestic animals securely confined to avoid any further incidents.

Forest personnel are actively monitoring the tiger’s movements to ensure the safety of both the villagers and local wildlife.

A public safety alert has been issued, urging residents to remain cautious. The department is also employing a "trap camera" system to track the tiger and is taking steps to relocate domestic animals from vulnerable areas to prevent additional attacks. Villagers are being urged to stay alert and follow safety guidelines to protect themselves and their livestock.
