Green Baize Classic Snooker 2025 begins on July 26

Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited Green Baize Classic All Odisha Open 10-Red Snooker Championship 2025 is all set to cue off at The Vintage Club, Bhubaneswar, from 26th July to 2nd August 2025.

With over 70 participants from across the state competing and an expected footfall of 100+ spectators daily, the championship promises to be a grand celebration of cue sports in Odisha. 70+ participants are a major boost to the sport in the state.

This year's edition aims to take the sport to new heights, offering a prize pool in excess of ₹1 lakh and featuring some of the most exciting snooker talents in the region. The championship will also be graced by international cueists Ashutosh Padhy and Subrat Das, along with other top ranked players in the state, adding prestige to the already star-studded event. The top seed for the event is Dr. Rakesh R. Pradhan and 2nd seed is Aakash Mohapatra.

The tournament will be played in a “league-cum-knockout format,” which will be a first-of-its kind event in the sport in Odisha. The league will be conducted in 2 different phases, followed by a knockout format for the last 16 players. The groups for both the phases are enclosed.

In a bid to connect with fans and snooker lovers across the state and beyond, the event is being promoted extensively through Facebook, Instagram, local media, banners, influencers, and sports communities, creating a buzz across Odisha.
