Jajpur, Nov 16: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday apprehended a clerk of a govt. High school for demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant.
The accused has been identified as Maheswar Samal. Vigilance caught Samal red-handed while accepting a bribe amount of Rs 4000 from a retired teacher to prepare his pending arrear bills and pension papers following retirement of the complainant.
The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Samal in Jajpur district from DA angle.
Further investigation in this regard is underway.
