Bhubaneswar, Aug 7: The Odisha Health Department has directed all the district collectors to stay alert for facing the possible breakout of waterborne diseases like diarrhea and others in the aftermath of flood.

"To deal with every possible situation, remedial measures have been taken by the Health Department. Along with that, relief camps have been opened at 48 hospitals. As many as 29 teams were deployed in different districts for the help of affected people. Around 11,000 ORS and 28,000 halogens have been distributed. Similarly, around 36 diarrhea patients have been treated", said Health Director Niranjan Mishra.

The Health Department has also warned people not to use flood water. Make sure to clean hands regularly, especially before food and after the toilet.
