Bhubaneswar, August 5: In accordance with government regulations, officials who fail to perform their duties effectively face dismissal. At a recent Secretary-level meeting, the Chief Administrative Secretary demanded a detailed report on the efficiency of officers across various departments.
Accordingly, letters have been dispatched from the Chief Administrative Secretary’s office to all relevant departments, requesting information on the number of officers and employees deemed incapable of fulfilling their responsibilities.
Departments have been given a deadline to submit the required data by the 7th of this month.
The communication further states that a comprehensive review of the work performance of all officers and staff will be undertaken. Those found to be non-compliant with government rules and judged inefficient will be dismissed. As per the General Administration Department’s circular dated September 24, 2019, such officers may be placed on compulsory leave pending further action.
