
Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: Chairman Vedanta Group, Anil Agarwal on Thursday called on Odisha CM Mohan Majhi at Odisha Lok Seva Bhawan.
During the courtesy call Agarwal discussed on avenues for enhanced collaboration of the Vedanta Group to enhance the state's industrial landscape.
During the meeting, Agarwal reaffirmed the group's steadfast commitment to the state's economic progress with bringing new projects worth Rs 1,60,000 crore.
Today’s discussion almost centred on identifying new opportunities for collaboration that would further accelerate Odisha's journey of transformation, foster socio-economic growth, and advance industrial development across the region.
The Vedanta Group has made largest-ever investment worldwide in diverse sectors.In Odisha its investments exceeds Rs 1 lakh crore. Vedanta's aluminium assets predominantly operate in Odisha, encompassing an alumina refinery, aluminium smelter, captive power plants, bauxite mines, and an aluminium park project.
