Jharsuguda, Nov 3: Jharsuguda Police in Odisha on Monday organized ‘Mobile Handover Mela 2025’ at the District Police Office and returned a total of 101 mobile phones that were reported lost, missing, or stolen to their rightful owners.

During the event, the aforementioned phones were traced, recovered, and handed over to their owners under the guidance of Superintendent of Police G.R. Raghavendra.

The event reflects the efforts of Jharsuguda Cyber Cell that carried out continuous technical tracking in coordination with various police stations across the district and recovered the devices.

Among the recovered devices, four phones had been missing since 2021, while one each dated to 2022 and 2023, showing the department’s dedication to resolving long-pending cases.

The police stations with the highest recoveries were Jharsuguda (30 phones), Lakhanpur (18), and Laikera (17), followed by Brajrajnagar, Banharpali, Kolabira, Airport, Badmal, Sadar, Orient, Belpahar, and Rengali.

Jharsuguda Police urged citizens to immediately report mobile theft or loss, advising them to file complaints via the CEIR portal (https://ceir.gov.in) or at the nearest police station for quicker recovery.
