Bhubaneswar, Aug 08: Subhalaxmi Sahu, whose lifeless body was discovered hanging in a hotel room in Bhubaneswar, has been found to have consumed drugs approximately four to five hours before her tragic demise, according to the postmortem report conducted by the authorities.
The Laxmisangar police now possess this autopsy report, which has shed light on the circumstances surrounding her death.
To delve further into the matter, Visera and postmortem samples were sent to the State Forensic Laboratory for a more detailed analysis. The investigation is now focusing on uncovering who supplied the drugs to Subhalaxmi and the reasons behind it.
The police have been actively pursuing leads, and so far, they have interrogated around 12 individuals, including bar employees, family members, and her boyfriend, in connection with the case.
According to police, Subhalaxmi Sahu, hailing from Kuabagsahi in Bhadrak district, checked into the hotel around 3:20 am on a Friday morning.
The hotel staff discovered her lifeless body hanging in the room, prompting them to inform the local police station. Following the report, a team from Laxmisagar police station promptly arrived at the hotel and took possession of the deceased's body for further investigation.
