Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: In a tragic incident, a girl was crushed to death under a school bus in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
The mishap took place at the Khandagiri Square in the afternoon.
The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
Sources said that, the girl and her mother was crossing the road at the Khandagiri Square at around 4 pm while a speeding bike tossed the girl from the forefront. As a result, she fell down whereas her mother was narrowly rescued. Meanwhile, a school bus reportedly crushed over her.
Khandagiri police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation.
The body was sent for post-mortem after primary inquest. Further investigation is underway to identify the deceased, said police.
