Next-Generation Hyundai Venue Breaks Cover with Radical Redesign

In an exciting development for the Indian automotive market, the next-generation Hyundai Venue has been seen for the first time completely undisguised, revealing a dramatic and comprehensive overhaul of the popular compact SUV. The new images provide a crystal-clear look at the vehicle's bold new design philosophy and sophisticated, tech-rich interior. This marks the first full-generation update for the Venue since its highly successful debut in 2019, and it is clear from the bold changes that Hyundai is aiming not just to continue its success story, but to set a new benchmark in the fiercely competitive sub-4-metre SUV segment.

The upcoming model, which is slated for its official India debut next month, has shed its familiar, rounded aesthetic for a look that is significantly more mature, substantial, and rugged. The comprehensive redesign brings the Venue in line with Hyundai's latest global SUV design language, ensuring it presents a fresh and formidable challenge to its long list of rivals. The drastic transformation is a clear signal of Hyundai's intent to solidify the Venue's position as a segment leader for years to come.

Bold and Mature Exterior

The most immediate and striking change is the Venue's completely new front end. It now features a wider, more squared-off grille with bold horizontal slats, creating a more imposing presence on the road. This is flanked by a vertically stacked LED headlamp arrangement, a signature of Hyundai's modern SUV lineup. Slim, high-set daytime running lamps positioned near the bonnet line give the vehicle a distinctive visual signature. The rugged appeal is further enhanced by a prominent silver-finished skid plate and chunky, muscular cladding around the lower bumper and wheel arches.

While the side profile retains the Venue's compact and recognizable silhouette, it has been sharpened with more athletic lines and pronounced, flared wheel arches. The design is complemented by a fresh set of 16-inch alloy wheels, a stylish blacked-out roof option, and a premium silver accent on the C-pillar. The rear of the vehicle has also undergone a significant transformation, now featuring a connected LED light bar that stretches across the entire width of the tailgate. This, combined with another chunky skid plate and a more sculpted bumper, gives the new Venue a thoroughly modern and upscale appearance.

Tech-Forward and Premium Cabin

The dramatic overhaul continues inside the cabin, where the new Venue takes a major leap forward in terms of sophistication and technology. Leaked spy shots of the interior reveal a completely redesigned dashboard dominated by a stunning dual 10.25-inch curved display. This single, seamless panel elegantly integrates the digital instrument cluster and the main infotainment touchscreen, creating a sleek, connected, and driver-focused cockpit that is typically found in more premium vehicle segments.

The entire dashboard layout has been rethought to create a minimalist and premium feel. This is achieved through the use of clean, horizontal lines for the AC vents, tasteful metallic accents, and the incorporation of soft-touch materials. The sense of luxury is expected to be further elevated in higher variants with the inclusion of features like ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and customizable ambient lighting.

Packed with Advanced Features

Beyond the headline screen, the new Venue is expected to be packed with a host of advanced convenience and safety features. A 360-degree camera system will likely be offered, along with front parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers. In a major segment-first move, top-end trims could also be equipped with Hyundai’s Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, bringing a new level of safety and semi-autonomous driving capability to the compact SUV space.

Under the hood, however, Hyundai is expected to stick with its proven and popular range of engines. The current lineup, which includes a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, will likely be carried over to the new generation. With an expected starting price of around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Venue is poised to take the fight directly to established rivals like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and its sibling, the Kia Sonet.
