Even his tenure as BCCI president was praiseworthy. Ganguly who celebrated his 52nd birthday on July 8, has invested in the Indian Racing Festival by becoming an owner of the Kolkata Royal Tigers Racing team ahead of the 2024 season.
It is a motorsport event conceptualized by Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. Ganguly's partnership is expected to boost the Indian Racing Festival as it aims to expand the motorsport ecosystem across India.
As per reports, there are eight city-based teams—Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Kochi, and Ahmedabad, who would compete from August to November this year. Kolkata is set to participate for the first time, reports stated.
