Mumbai, Feb 4: Actors Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur's upcoming film Dacoit, originally scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, has now secured a new date for its debut. The action-packed film will now hit cinemas on April 10, 2026.

This rescheduling comes to avoid a direct clash with several high-profile films set to release around the same time, including Dhurandhar 2 starring Ranveer Singh and Toxic featuring Yash.

Dacoit stars Adivi Sesh, who not only takes on the lead role but has also co-written the film. Known for supporting films that place a strong emphasis on storytelling, Dacoit follows the same approach. The film has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, with Sesh and Shaneil Deo jointly penning the screenplay. Shaneil Deo also serves as the director. Along with the lead pair, the film features celebrated director Anurag Kashyap in a prominent role, with Mrunal Thakur playing a significant part in the narrative.

Sesh recently completed the final shooting schedule for the film and expressed his emotions on the milestone. Reflecting on the journey, he shared, "Wrapping up the final schedule of Dacoit feels both surreal and deeply emotional for me. This film has been an intense journey, physically, creatively, and mentally. From writing the first draft to now standing at the edge of completion, every phase has demanded complete honesty and commitment.
