Chhatrapur, Feb 20: In a disturbing incident, a young man was found murdered behind a chicken shop near Rikapalli Gate, under the jurisdiction of Chhatrapur Police Station. The deceased has been identified as R. Raja Rao from Saib Jenapalli village.

According to reports, the killing took place late Thursday night. Local residents discovered the body on Friday morning and immediately alerted the police.

Chhatrapur SDPO Chandan Ghadei, Station Officer Sabyasachi Mall, and a scientific team visited the scene along with several police personnel. The authorities seized the victim’s mobile phone and other belongings for investigation. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

The motive for the murder remains unclear. The victim’s brother revealed that R. Raja had a dispute with some youths a few days ago. He added that R. Raja received a phone call around 11 PM on Thursday, and suspects that the callers may have been involved in the attack, possibly due to past enmity.

Police continue to investigate the case to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
