Gajapati, July 11: In an unprecedented incident, Additional District Magistrate (ADM)Gajapati Birendra Das died on a stage while singing song.
Das collapsed amid he was performing a devotional song on the stage at the BN Palace on a get-together, hoisted by the district admin.
Sources said, there was an entertainment program during the grand occasion while ADM(Revenue) Das was enthralling the audience with a Jagannath bhajan. Meanwhile, he lost control over his body and collapsed on the stage. He was rushed to the district headquarters hospital and later shifted to the MKCG Hospital for resuscitation, where he was declared dead.
Worth mentioning, Das was working here as ADM (Revenue) from over two years. He was earlier assigned as the PD, ITDA in a number of districts.
