Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: Gajalaxmi Puja celebrations in Bhubaneswar will be bigger this year as a whopping 185 pandals have been set up in the city and outskirts. Highest 11 pandals have been set up in Old Bhubaneswar.
Nine platoons of police force will be deployed for smooth celebration of the festival.
The Commissionerate police has directed IICs of all police stations to keep a watch on playing of DJ in high volume and crowd management.
The Gajalaxmi Cultural Association has made replica of Maharashtra Gurudwara at Unit - IX. Twety artists from West Bengal took around one month to construct the mandap. An artificial pond has been decorated with lotus inside the mandap.
Similarly, Friends Club of Unit - IX has made silver ornaments for Goddess Laxmi this year.
The Saheed Nagar Durga Puja Committee has made silver backdrop for the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. Maa Gajalaxmi will give darshan to devotees sitting on lotus.
