Koraput, November 26: The Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Society of Extension Education (SEE), Agra, Uttar Pradesh, to strengthen research, capacity building, and knowledge dissemination in the field of extension education and allied areas.

The MoU was formally signed and exchanged by CUO Vice Chancellor Prof. N. C. Panda and SEE secretary general Dr. Jitendra Kumar Chauhan, during the second International Extension Education Congress held at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University in Bhubaneswar between November 24-26.

Prof. Premjit Sing, President, SEE; Prof. Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal and Dr. Manjushri Singh, Head, Department of Agriculture, CUO, was also present on the occasion.

Speaking about the collaboration, Vice Chancellor Prof. Panda said, “The MoU aims to create a structured framework for cooperation between the two institutions in key areas such as the organisation of seminars, conferences, workshops, and academic events; joint initiatives in journal publication; and the promotion of research and training in extension education and related disciplines.”

As per the agreement, CUO and SEE will jointly organise national and international seminars, webinars, symposia, and conferences. They will also collaborate on editorial and publication activities, including special journal issues, and facilitate the exchange of academic resources and materials.

CUO’s Agriculture department head Dr. Manjushree Singh said “The MoU further envisages capacity-building programmes for students, researchers, faculty members, and professionals, as well as the development of joint research projects in areas of mutual interest. The agreement will remain valid for five years.”
