Kananaskis (Canada), June 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the 51st G7 Summit at Kananaskis, Canada. Modi affirmed that India’s friendship with Italy will continue to get stronger, greatly benefitting our people.

Responding to a post by PM of Italy on X, Modi said: “Fully agree with you, PM Giorgia Meloni. India’s friendship with Italy will continue to get stronger, greatly benefitting our people! @GiorgiaMeloni”

PM Modi also held separate pull-aside meetings with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and South Korean President Lee Jae-myung on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta.

Prime Minister Modi met President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico during the 51st G7 Summit in Kananaskis, marking the first meeting between the two leaders. Both sides discussed avenues to further deepen India-Mexico cooperation in trade, pharmaceuticals, science and technology, digital innovation, and shared perspectives on key global and regional issues, including the priorities of the Global South.
