Bhubaneswar, Feb 25: While concern of farmers during paddy procurement left Odisha Assembly session stormy, the government extended token time for farmers on Wednesday.

With the extended timeline, the farmers can fetch their paddy with ease, said Odisha Minister For Food Supplies Krushna Chandra Patra.

Patra Odisha farmers that paddy procurement in PACS will continue till March 31.

According to the government decision,in case the token validity period expires, it will be extended by 15 days.

District Collectors across the state have been asked to further extend this period if needed to procure paddy from all registered farmers.

Worth mentioning, the move will benefit thousands of farmers during the current Kharif Marketing Season those wait to fetch their lot of paddy.
