Four killed in tragic collision in Odisha's Kalahandi

Two bike riders were killed after they met with an accident near Jamakhunta village under Sindhekela police station in Bolangir district.

Lachipur, June 17: At least four people were crushed to death when the four-wheeler they were traveling in collided with a tractor near Lachipur Chhak in Odisha’s Kalahandi district.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been ascertained. 

Khadial police immediately arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation. The unidentified bodies have been sent for autopsy.

Preliminary reports suggest that the victims were en route to Bhawanipatna when their vehicle rammed into the tractor. The collision was so intense that the car was completely damaged.

The tractor driver fled the scene. 

Police have registered a case and initiated a manhunt to apprehend the absconding driver.
