Balasore, June 23: At least four people sustained grievous injuries after an ambulance carrying them hit a container truck and later caught fire in Odisha’s Balasore district this morning.
As per reports, the mishap took place on National Highway (NH)-60 near Rupsa in the district when the ambulance was on its way to Balasore from Basta Hospital carrying a patient. In the mishap, four people including the patient sustained critical injuries.
Some local people rescued the victims and rushed them to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment. One of them has been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital as his health condition deteriorated.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and launched a probe into the matter.
