Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: The annual Khandagiri Mela has commenced, filling the area with a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The surroundings are resonating with homa rituals, penance, chants, and the continuous echo of sacred mantras, adding to the religious grandeur of the fair.

This year’s mela has drawn attention with the presence of several well-known ascetics, including Langudu Baba, Stading Baba, Doctor Baba, and Swami Anandaraja. Swami Anandaraja, in particular, has emerged as a point of interest for devotees and visitors.

Swami Anandaraja is known for his practice of Sambhavi Mudra, through which he claims to control the senses and awaken Kundalini energy. He has been sharing messages on achieving mastery over the senses by remaining thought-free and regulating breathing. According to him, personal spiritual awakening, rather than popularity, is his primary focus.

At the age of 60, Swami Anandaraja continues to lead a household life while maintaining detachment from worldly attachments. Speaking to the media, he stated that material illusions do not influence him. He also demonstrated the Sambhavi Mudra in front of the News7 camera and claimed to have awakened the Muladhara Chakra, one of the seven chakras.

Alongside his spiritual practices, Swami Anandaraja is actively engaged in spreading the teachings and messages of Lord Krishna.
