Bhubaneswar, May 12:Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik & President of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Naveen Patnaik on Sunday suspended former Talsara MLA Dr Prafulla Majhi from the party for his anti-party move.
A press release issued from the BJD office revealed it.
Dr Majhi had joined the BJD on December 10, 2021, after being expelled from the Congress party for his gross misconduct. Since his joining Majhi was assigned the post of the senior BJD Secretary.
Majhi was a three-time MLA from the Sundergarh who had won the by-elections in 2006 and was subsequently re-elected in the 2009 and 2014 assembly elections from the Talsara segment on the Congress ticket.
