Former Minister Debasis Nayak resigns from BJD

Bhubaneswar, Feb 25: Former Minister Debasis Nayak resigned from the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ahead of the general and Assembly elections in the state.

Nayak, a former MLA from Bari in Jajpur district, has resigned from the primary membership of the party. He has sent his resignation letter to BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

 “With a heavy heart, I am submitting my resignation with immediate effect. Thank you very much for giving me an opportunity to serve the people of Odisha as well as the party,” Nayak wrote in his resignation letter.
