New Delhi, Oct 23: Former India cricket captain and legendary left-arm spinner Bishan Singh Bedi passed away, here on Monday.
He was unwell for the last couple of years and had undergone multiple surgeries. He is survived by his wife Anju, and two children, Neha and Angad.
Bedi played 67 Tests and 10 ODIs for India. He took 266 Test wickets at an average of 28.71. He was known for his fearless and frank views even during his playing days.
He was one of the four great spin-quartet that dominated Indian cricket in the 1970s. The other three turners were Bhagwath Chandrasekhar, Erapalli Prasanna and Srinivas Venkataraghavan.
