Andhra Pradesh, June 29: Dharmapuri Srinivas, former president of the Andhra Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee and a former minister, has passed away at the age of 76. He had been battling illness for some time and succumbed to a heart attack at 3 am on Saturday. During his career, Srinivas held prominent roles including Minister, Member of Parliament, and PCC president in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
He is survived by his two sons; Dharmapuri Arvind, the current MP of Nizamabad, and Sanjay, who previously served as the Mayor of Nizamabad. Telangana Minister for Transport and BC Welfare, Ponnam Prabhakar, expressed his condolences, acknowledging Srinivas's contributions as a minister and PCC Chief. He recalled their longstanding association within the party and offered prayers for strength to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
