Outgoing CM Naveen attends oath ceremony of Odisha ministry

Bhubaneswar, June 12: Former CM Naveen Patnaik has attended the swearing in ceremony of new Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi .

 The oath-taking ceremony took place at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar and was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union Ministers, and chief ministers of several states ruled by the BJP

Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also graced the occasion as a guest. 

Former CM Patnaik was well received by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other dignitaries present in the dais. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who later joined the ceremony also talked with former CM Naveen Patnaik on the dias.  

Hours before the BJP government took oath of office, Odisha's chief minister-designate Mohan Charan Majhi had met  Patnaik and invited him to the swearing-in ceremony.Majhi drove to Naveen Niwas, Patnaik's residence, where he formally extended the invitation. Patnaik had assured him that he would be present at the event

Mohan Charan Majhi, a BJP MLA from Keonjhar, has sworn in as the 15th Chief Minister of Odisha.
