Patna, May 13: Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi passed away at the age of 72 on Monday.
Modi who was living with cancer, was under treatment from April this year.
Modi did not contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections due to his poor health.
His mortal remains will be brought to his residence in Patna's Rajendra Nagar area tomorrow and the last rites will be performed later in the day, said family sources.
Veteran BJP leader Modi was also a Rajya Sabha MP who was assigned as the Chairperson of the empowered committee of the MoF for implementation of goods and service tax.
