
Rayagada, Sept 20: Antarjyami Sahu, Forest Range Officer of Kashipur Forest Range in Rayagada district, has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance on charges of possessing disproportionate assets. He will be produced before the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore later today.
The arrest follows extensive searches carried out by Vigilance officials at multiple properties linked to Sahu. During the raids, the officer was found in possession of assets grossly disproportionate to his known sources of income. These include five buildings, nine plots of land, approximately 263 grams of gold, and bank deposits amounting to around ₹28 lakh.
Sahu has allegedly failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the source of these assets.
A case has been registered in this connection under Koraput Vigilance PS Case No. 28/2025. The investigation is currently underway.
