Five held for trying to smuggle ganja in train, 90 kilograms ganja seized

Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: The Government Railway Police (GRP), Bhubaneswar has seized ganja weighing 90 kilograms from Bhubaneswar railway station in two separate incidents in last 24 hours. Police have also arrested five persons in this connection. In the first inciden, GRP arrested two persons and seized ganja weighing 58.8 kgs while the accused were trying to smuggle the contraband to Delhi through Rajdhani Express. The accused have been identified as Ashish Khairvar and Pankaj of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. In the second incident, police apprehended three accused while they were trying to smuggle ganja to Gaya in Nandankanan Express. Police seized ganja weighing 38.2 kgs having a market value worth Rs 3.22 lakh. The accused have been identified as Ayub Gamango, Binant Gamango of Adava, Gajapati and Gopal Kumar of Buxur, Bihar.
